photo sharing apps

3 applications for famous photo sharing sites
It is amazing how many things one can do with a single smartphone, provided it has the right applications installed. Apart from the hundreds of photo editing applications which help the user process and enhance images, there are those that go a step further with which users can store their photos on the cloud and share them with friends. Photo sharing websites like Blurb, Flickr and Skydrive now have their own photo applications which help the customers upload their files and create their personal albums. The editor of Qetes.com suggests the following:

FlickFolio for Flickr
Features and Uses
When it comes to managing your Flickr pictures no application compares to FlickFolio the app that excels at both uploads and offline viewing. It automatically synchronizes your pictures for offline viewing while your phone charges so you don’t need to waste time connecting to Flickr just to view your previous uploads. That’s not to say that the app can’t handle the other features Flickr has to offer, you can easily browse other users’ photos and the amazing photos that there are to view. Android 4.2 users are also in for a special treat as you can enable a slideshow of your photos to show while your phone charges or while it’s docked. Uploading is a cinch with simultaneous multiple photo uploading meaning your friends, family and followers get to see your amazing pictures even sooner.
Users’ Feedback
Other users of the app have many good comments and the amount of praise is very high compared to apps that interact with Flickr. The biggest attraction to this app is the ability to easily view your Flickr photos offline, not only great for seeing what you have uploaded but also to show others when you are out and about and can’t always get an internet connection.

Of course for all the good comments there are some bad, many users have noted that the app does not run on the Kindle Fire and occasionally some of your private photos can be made public, but these are isolated incidents and 95% of users are completely satisfied.

Blurb App for Blurb

Features and Uses
When you want to create your own books there are many ways to go about it, but one of the easiest and best ways is simply to install Blurb and let that do the hard work for you. Blurb is best known for allowing users to create their own online photo books to share with the world but they have recently ventured into the app world allowing users to create multimedia books from interactive video cookbooks to a showcase of vacation pictures with audio overlay. Available on both Apple and Android devices Blurb looks set to increase the amount of user created content available in a huge way. Samsung Galaxy S4 users will also be in for a great treat as Samsung has signed a deal with Blurb allowing the smartphone users to create their books easily as many of the Blurb features will be embedded into the phone itself.

For a start of $0 you can download the app and start creating immediately albeit in a slightly limited fashion with 8 images each with 30 seconds of audio and a 10 second video clip. If that isn’t enough you can pay $1.99 and get 15 images and a 2 minute video clip space, more than enough to create a basic video to share with your friends and family. Once your book has been created and uploaded you can even order a printed copy although prices for that will vary depending on the complexity of your book.
What Users Say
Users of the app have plenty of positive feedback to give as well as useful tips for others adding to the social atmosphere of the app which helps to drive its success. New features are being added constantly as the attentive developers listen to user feedback and strive to constantly improve the app as it makes its way onto the mass market. The product is certainly good value for money since you can get started for free so with nothing to lose there’s no reason not to have a go. Besides, for the paid version you can use the Blurb coupon and save some money.

SkyFolio for SkyDrive

Features and Uses
Microsoft's SkyDrive is an often underutilized free cloud storage solution that has not only private storage but also public folders for sharing your photos and documents with others. SkyFolio is an Android app that is designed to manage your SkyDrive files and folders to allow greater control on the go. While the app can be used for managing other documents within SkyDrive the main focus is on photo management and many users have pointed out that limitation, but if all you are interested in is managing your photo portfolio SkyFolio is the way to do just that. Developed by Snapwood Apps and available on the Google Play store for just $2.99 SkyFlio follows similar apps by the developer and synchronizes your photos for offline viewing when you aren’t connected to the net.
Users’ Feedback
User feedback for SkyFolio is generally very positive and the ability to manage your SkyDrive photos and upload easily is a very welcome feature on a smartphone where managing though a website is less than ideal. Although this app comes with some caveats, the app is designed for photo management and other file types are left by the wayside, there have been some complaints about the inability the open other documents within the app. Despite the limitations the app features are extremely useful for anyone who regularly uses SkyDrive and wishes to have another method of managing their photos.
